• Employee Appreciation Day is the first Friday in March: Friday, March 5, 2027.
• Administrative Professionals Day is the Wednesday of the last full week of April: Wednesday, April 21, 2027 (Wikipedia).
• Hanukkah 2027 begins at sundown on Friday, December 24, Christmas Eve (Hebcal).
• Three big dates fall on a weekend: Valentine's Day (Sunday), Boss's Day (Saturday) and Christmas (Saturday). Federal offices observe Christmas on Friday, December 24 (OPM).

How to Work Out an Order-By Date for Any 2027 Day

How we ship, in full:

Ships within 2 business days of a complete order (your design, your address list and payment). Ships by USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, with tracking, and usually arrives 2–5 business days after it ships. Delivery dates are carrier estimates, not guarantees, and run slower in mid-December.

So count back 7 business days from the day the box should arrive: 2 to ship, plus 5 at the slow end of the estimate. Business days are Monday to Friday, without federal holidays. Before you pay, the order page shows the date your order ships by and the date it is expected by, as a carrier estimate, if you pay that day.

Pick the arrival day first. For an office, that is the last workday before the occasion; for a weekend date like Boss's Day (Saturday, October 16), it is the Friday before. Then count back. The 2027 federal holidays, which don't count as business days:

Dates That Need a Second Look

• Lunar New Year (Saturday, February 6). China Highlights' guide to gifts to avoid says: "Do not give gifts in sets or multiples of four" and "avoid presents that are largely black or largely white, or wrapping paper or envelopes in these colors" (China Highlights). Our box has 4 Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles, a black box and a white mug, so we don't suggest it for this date.
• May through September. Our box holds chocolate. Lake Champlain Chocolates, which ships chocolate nationwide, says that in "the summer months and year-round to warm weather destinations" heat and humidity "can cause the chocolate to bloom or melt" (Lake Champlain Chocolates). Teacher Appreciation Week, Nurses Week, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Grandparents Day all fall in that stretch.
• Hanukkah and Christmas overlap. In 2026 Hanukkah starts three weeks before Christmas; in 2027 it starts on Christmas Eve, so one shipment covers both.
• Unofficial days. National Hot Chocolate Day, National Coffee Day and Boss's Day are popular observances, not holidays: no office closes for them, and calendars can differ.
• Kwanzaa. We don't sell our box as a Kwanzaa gift; for a mixed list, a New Year message fits everyone.

Why Plan From This Calendar, Not From a Search

People look up a gifting day close to the day itself. In our study of five years of US Google Trends data, a median 67% of the 8-week run-up's searches for Employee Appreciation Day, and 65% for Administrative Professionals Day, came in the final week, when a shipped, custom gift is already late. • Federal employees. 5 CFR 2635.204(a) lets them accept gifts worth "$20 or less per source per occasion" from a prohibited source: gifts to federal employees.
• Where we ship: the lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except Texas for now.
