• September 29. The National Coffee Association, a coffee industry trade association, released its fall 2025 data "in advance of National Coffee Day on September 29" (NCA, Sept 9, 2025).
• Two in three adults: "overall past-day coffee consumption steady at 66% of American adults" in the 2026 National Coffee Data Trends Fall Report, "conducted by Dig Insights on behalf of the National Coffee Association" with 1,882 respondents, June 8–24, 2026 (NCA, Sept 15, 2026).
• Mostly at home: "The vast majority of past-day coffee drinkers (83%) have coffee at home" (same report).

When Is National Coffee Day?

September 29, every year, so the weekday moves:

Labor Day dates: OPM.

It's an industry day, not a federal one. The National Coffee Association ties its fall data release to it, and in 2025 it "continued National Coffee Day 2025 celebrations by hosting a briefing for Congressional representatives and staff about coffee's contributions to the U.S. economy" (NCA, Sept 30, 2025).

Why a Fall Client Touch?

The calendar is quiet. After Labor Day, the next federal holiday is Columbus Day in October (OPM), and the year-end gift season is still weeks away. A late-September thank-you has little competing for the desk, and it reads as a thank-you, not an obligation (our view).

The drink is the country's most common. NCA's 2026 report says coffee is "consumed by more adults each day than any other beverage, including tap or bottled water."

The mug is the piece that lasts. A bag of coffee gets used up; the cup it's drunk from stays. In NCA's report, 83% of past-day coffee drinkers had coffee at home, so a mug shipped to a home address goes where the coffee is made. ASI's 2026 study, a promotional-products industry survey, found 87% of end-users would keep branded drinkware for its usefulness.

When to Order for National Coffee Day 2027

Ships within 2 business days of a complete order (your design, your address list and payment). Ships by USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, with tracking, and usually arrives 2–5 business days after it ships. Delivery dates are carrier estimates, not guarantees, and run slower in mid-December.

There's no way to pick a ship date or a delivery day, so the date you order sets the timing: count back 7 business days from the day the boxes should arrive (2 to ship, plus 5 at the slow end of the estimate; weekends and federal holidays don't count). For boxes in hand by Tuesday, September 28, 2027, the day before, count back from that Tuesday; no federal holiday falls in that stretch (Labor Day, Monday, September 6, comes before it). What one small mistake costs: a mug packed without a collar can break at the handle and must be bought, packed and shipped again. What to Know Before You Order

• No coffee inside. Every box holds Ghirardelli premium hot cocoa and 4 Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles; the mug is the coffee piece.
• Chocolate in warm weather. Lake Champlain Chocolates, a chocolate maker, says "exposure to heat and humidity can cause the chocolate to bloom or melt" (Lake Champlain Chocolates). Late September can still be warm.
• The treats. LINDOR truffles contain milk, soy and barley malt (gluten); read the labels.
• The seal sticker. The order page names the gold seal sticker that closes the tissue, from the stickers in stock when you order; your card carries the coffee-day words.
• Where we ship. We ship from Texas to the lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except Texas addresses for now. The order page flags any row we can't ship to, so you can fix it or take it out before you pay.
