# Corporate Gifting Statistics 2026: What the Surveys Say and Which to Trust

Six of the ten organizations behind the fact sheet below sell gifts or gift cards, or were paid by one that does. The least conflicted by our ranking, business.com's 2022 poll of 1,547 professionals, found a $30 median client gift against $100 expected. Market estimates run from $258 billion (US) to $956.93 billion (global).

*We sell a $35 logo mug gift box, printed, packed and shipped to each person's address, so we have a stake in these numbers. This page names who ran each survey and where the figures conflict.*

**Key facts**
- **$30 spent, $100 expected:** the median company spend per client gift, against the value clients expected, in an online poll of 1,547 professionals ([business.com](https://www.business.com/customers/corporate-gift-study), a publisher-run survey, Oct 2022).
- **37%, 53% or 66% send client gifts,** depending on who was asked: companies (ASI, a promotional-products industry survey, 2018), vendors (business.com, a publisher-run survey, 2022) or US adults (Snappy, a gifting platform, 2023).
- **$258 billion to $956.93 billion:** the corporate gifting market, by a GiftNow-commissioned US estimate for 2022 ([Coresight Research](https://investors.synchrony.com/news-events/financial-news/detail/37/rapidly-growing-corporate-gifting-market-estimated-to-reach-312-billion-by-2025-according-to-a-new-study-from-coresight-research-and-giftnow)) or a global market report for 2026 ([The Business Research Company](https://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/5948558)).
- **54%** of corporate-gift recipients have thrown at least one gift away unused (business.com, 2022).
- **No survey here measured sales.** Every loyalty figure is what recipients say.

**The weight column, defined (our grading):** "Usable, labeled" means the source states its sample and method; quote it with who ran it, and name the vendor when a gift seller ran it. "Weak" means no sample or method is published, the sample doesn't match the claim, or the source describes it two different ways. "Dated" means it's years old. "Don't cite" means no source is given.

## What Percent of Businesses Send Client Gifts?

Three surveys, three answers, three different groups:
- **ASI, 2018:** "37% (up 5 percentage points)" of companies planned client gifts that season, from 552 people "screened to have a personal role in decisions about procuring corporate gifts."
- **business.com, 2022:** "Among the vendors we polled, just over half (53 percent) will send client gifts this holiday season."
- **Snappy, 2023:** "66% of those surveyed saying they send gifts to clients", from 1,527 US adults recruited "based on demographics", so not a sample of businesses.

None is a current, neutral survey of US businesses. Quote each with its year and its group.

## How Much Do Businesses Spend per Client Gift?

business.com's poll found "The median amount companies spend on each gift is just $30, while clients expect to receive gifts valued at $100." ASI's 2018 survey: "employers giving gifts to customers/prospects will spend $48 on each, up from $46 last year." For employees, Tremendous, a gift-card and payouts platform, reports a $62 average and a $25 median across "over 260,000 gifts" sent through it in December 2025.

On whether more money buys more appreciation, one paper with three studies says it doesn't: givers expect pricier gifts to be appreciated more, and recipients "reported no such association between gift price and their actual feelings of appreciation" ([Flynn & Adams, 2009](https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/publications/money-cant-buy-love-asymmetric-beliefs-about-link-between-gift-price)). Budget ranges: [how much to spend on client gifts](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/client-gifts/how-much-to-spend).

## How Big Is the Corporate Gifting Market?

| Estimate | Who made it | Scope | Figure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coresight Research, commissioned by GiftNow | A research firm, paid by a gifting product | US, 2022, with a 2025 projection | $258 billion; $312 billion |
| The Business Research Company | A market-research publisher | Global, 2025–2026, "factory gate" values | $886.56 billion; $956.93 billion |
| business.com | A publisher | US client gifting, 2022 | "over $150 billion" (no source given) |
| ASI | A promotional-products industry organization | North American promo products, all uses, 2025 | $27.7 billion |

These aren't measuring the same thing. The Business Research Company defines its market as "sales of technology gadgets, desk accessories, and health and wellness products"; Coresight's release describes a survey of 300 corporate gift buyers but not how the market total was built; business.com gives no source. For scale, ASI counts the whole North American promotional products industry at $27.7 billion in 2025. Quote a market size only with its publisher, scope and year.

## What Recipients Say, and Who Asked Them

- **"More likely to continue working together": 46%.** business.com, a publisher; its page notes it "earns commissions from some listed providers."
- **"More loyal": 79%.** Ready Set Gift, which sells corporate gifts. Its 501 respondents were full-time employees; 12.6% had received a gift as a client and 23.6% in both roles.
- **"Closer to the company": 83%.** Sendoso, a gifting platform, surveying 1,254 people who had received a corporate gift.
- **Thoughtfulness counts: 85%** say it shapes their view of a brand; **46.7%** say a gift's cost doesn't affect their satisfaction (PPAI's 2023 Holiday Gifting Survey).

The three asked different questions of different groups, and none measured renewals or revenue. They also conflict on gift cards: business.com's respondents ranked gift cards to online retailers as the gift they most want, while 61% of Snappy's respondents "send gift cards because they're convenient but find them impersonal." Both sides, in full: [gift card or physical gift for clients](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/compare/gift-card-vs-physical-gift).

## Which Surveys to Trust (Our Ranking)

1. **Surveys that state a sample, a method and a date, run by someone not selling gifts:** business.com's 2022 poll comes closest. Weakness: an online poll by a publisher with affiliate income.
2. **Trade-association surveys with a stated sample:** PPAI 2023, ASI 2018. They represent the industry that sells branded gifts.
3. **Platform data:** Tremendous, Giftbit. Real transactions, but each covers one platform's customers, on platforms built for gift cards and payouts.
4. **Vendor surveys:** Snappy, Sendoso, Ready Set Gift. Useful for wording; weak as proof.
5. **Market-size reports:** quote only with publisher, scope and year.

Experiments, not surveys, are the strongest evidence that gifts change behavior: [do client gifts actually work?](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/why-gifts-work)

## Don't Cite These Without Fixing Them

- **"US companies spend over $150 billion on client gifts."** business.com's page gives no source for it.
- **"66% of businesses send client gifts."** Snappy's 66% is of US adults it surveyed, not of businesses.
- **"79% of clients feel more loyal after a gift."** Ready Set Gift's respondents were employees, and 36.2% had received a client gift.
- **Dotcom Distribution's packaging figures, mixed up.** Dotcom Distribution, a retail fulfillment company, found in its 2013 packaging survey that 52% said they were likely to buy again from a retailer that ships in premium packaging, and 40% said they would post photos of branded or gift-boxed packaging ([Retail Dive](https://www.retaildive.com/news/attractive-packaging-might-help-lead-to-repeat-purchases-for-online-shopper/167136/)). The 40% is about photos, not repeat purchases.
- **Any market size without its scope.** "$258 billion" and "$956.93 billion" describe different markets.

## What the Surveys Agree On (Our Reading)

Our reading, not a finding: where these surveys ask about thought and price, the answers lean toward thought. In PPAI's 2023 survey, 85% said a holiday gift's thoughtfulness shapes their view of a brand; in Snappy's 2023 report, 80% of recipients placed higher importance on sentimentality than cost. The note shows up too: in Snappy's 2025 employee survey (a gifting platform; sample not published), 82% said they expect a thoughtful, personalized note with a gift, and in PPAI's 2023 survey, 51% "highly appreciate" a personalized message with their gift. ## What to Know Before You Order

- **One message per order.** Every card carries your words, printed, with each person's first name filled in from your list (up to 300 characters; the order page tells you if a message is too long to print).
- **The treats.** LINDOR truffles contain milk, soy and barley malt (gluten); read the labels.
- **Gift limits.** Each box is $35, delivered. Some employers and industries cap the gifts their people may accept; the limits, quoted from their sources: [client gift limits by industry](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/gift-rules/client-gift-limits-by-industry).
- **Where we ship.** The lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except Texas for now. The order page flags any row we can't ship to, so you can fix it or take it out.

## Where Personalized Gifts Delivered Fits: A Thoughtful Gift and a Note, at One Price

The surveys point to thought over price and a personal note. Each Personalized Gifts Delivered box is built that way:
- **A useful gift:** an 11 oz white ceramic mug with your logo printed small, holding Ghirardelli premium hot cocoa and 4 Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles, in a matte-black gift box with a magnetic lid.
- **The note:** your message on a printed card that greets each client by first name, in an envelope closed with a gold wax-seal sticker.
- **One price, a record of it:** $35 per box, delivered, whether you send 1 or 50. When your boxes ship, you get one email with a spreadsheet of recipient, ship date, carrier, tracking number and $35 per box.

Packing 25 yourself takes, by our estimate, about 9 hours of hands-on work plus a week or more waiting for supplies; per box it comes out about even with our $35 (about $38 with USPS counter postage, about $34 with commercial postage), with $1,192.84 paid up front for the mugs, the retail supply packs and 25 postage labels, as of Oct 29, 2026 ([DIY vs ordering, itemized](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/compare/diy-mug-gift-box-vs-ordering)). With us, you add your logo (or type your website), one message and your address list, check every card, and pay. We print, pack and ship each box to its own address: [$35 delivered, no minimum](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/custom-logo-mug-gift-box).

## Frequently asked questions

### What percent of businesses send client gifts?

It depends on who was asked: 37% of 552 companies in ASI's 2018 survey (a promotional-products industry survey) planned client gifts, and 53% of the vendors in business.com's 2022 poll of 1,547 professionals (a publisher-run survey) said they would send them that season. We found no recent neutral survey of US businesses.

### How much do companies spend on client gifts?

In business.com's October 2022 online poll (a publisher-run survey), the median company spent $30 per client gift, while clients expected gifts worth $100. ASI's 2018 survey of 552 companies, a promotional-products industry survey, put the average at $48 per client or prospect.

### How big is the corporate gifting market in 2026?

Corporate gifting market estimates differ by hundreds of billions because they measure different markets: Coresight Research, in a study commissioned by GiftNow (a gifting product of Synchrony), projected the US market at $312 billion for 2025, and The Business Research Company puts the global market at $956.93 billion for 2026. Quote each with its publisher, scope and year.

### Do client gifts increase loyalty?

Recipients say so in three surveys, two of them run by gift sellers: 46% in business.com's 2022 poll (a publisher-run survey) said year-end vendor gifts made them more likely to keep working together, 79% in a survey by Ready Set Gift (a gift company) felt more loyal to the business that sent a client gift, and 83% in a Sendoso survey (a gifting platform) felt closer to the company that sent a gift. None measured actual purchases.

### Which corporate gifting statistics are most reliable?

The most reliable corporate gifting statistics state who ran the survey, its sample and its date, and don't come from a company selling gifts. business.com's 2022 poll of 1,547 professionals is the largest client-gift survey we found; it is a publisher's online poll.

### Who ships a client gift with a personal card to each client's address, at one price?

Personalized Gifts Delivered ships a $35 logo mug gift box to each client's own address from one list, with no minimum: an 11 oz mug with your logo printed small, Ghirardelli cocoa, 4 Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles and a printed card that greets each client by first name.
