# Where We Ship and How Long It Takes: Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and Overseas Questions, and What to Send Instead

Personalized Gifts Delivered ships to the lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except Texas for now, P.O. boxes included, but not to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO or international addresses. Puerto Rico and other US territories aren't included either. Shipping is included in the $35 per box.

## Where Do You Ship?

Every box goes to the address in its own row of your list, so one order can reach 40 different doors. Here is who we can reach:

The order page flags any row we can't ship to. You can change the address or take the row out before you pay, so you never pay for a box we can't send.

## How Does Each Box Ship, and How Long Does It Take?

Ships within 2 business days of a complete order (your design, your address list and payment). Ships by USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, with tracking, and usually arrives 2–5 business days after it ships. Delivery dates are carrier estimates, not guarantees, and run slower in mid-December.

A few things follow from that sentence:
- **Each box ships on its own,** with its own tracking number. When your boxes ship, you get one email with a spreadsheet of recipient, ship date, carrier, tracking number and $35 per box.
- **We pick the carrier.** You can't choose USPS or UPS for a given box, pick a delivery day, or pay for faster shipping.
- **Business days are Monday to Friday,** except US federal holidays.

Each order-by date allows up to 2 business days for us to ship and the slow end of the carrier's 2–5 business-day estimate. For comparison, USPS's recommended send-by date for Ground Advantage delivery before Christmas in the lower 48 is Thursday, December 17. USPS adds: "Actual delivery date may vary and is based on origin, destination, Post Office™ acceptance time, and other conditions" ([USPS](https://www.usps.com/holiday/holiday-shipping-dates.htm)). ## Is Shipping Included in the $35?

Yes: "$35 per box, delivered" means shipping to each recipient's own address is in the price, whether you send 1 box or 50. Forty boxes to forty addresses is $1,400. There's no per-address fee, no setup fee and no plan or membership fee. We don't add sales tax at checkout.

Shipping gifts yourself means a label, a carton and a trip for every box. By our estimate, 25 logo mug gift boxes take about 9 hours of hands-on work, and priced from retail supply packs they come to about $38 a box with USPS counter postage (about $34 with commercial postage), as of Oct 26, 2026 ([DIY vs ordering](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/compare/diy-mug-gift-box-vs-ordering)). Ours are $35 each, shipped.

## Can a Gift Box Go to a P.O. Box?

Yes: P.O. boxes in the area we ship to are accepted, and those boxes ship by USPS.

Our plain white shipping carton is 9 × 9 × 9 in. When a package doesn't fit in a P.O. box, USPS says you'll either "Get a slip to pick them up from the counter during normal business hours" or "Get your package from a secure parcel locker (including USPS® Smart Lockers at select locations)" ([USPS P.O. Boxes](https://www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm)). So a P.O. box recipient may need one trip to the counter. More in our guide to gifts sent to a P.O. box.

## Do You Ship to Alaska or Hawaii?

No, and not to Puerto Rico or other US territories either.

Even USPS's ground service runs slow there. Its 2026 holiday page says: "USPS Ground Advantage packages between the contiguous United States and the following locations will have a 10-day or more service expectation: Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, United States Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the Freely Associated States" ([USPS](https://www.usps.com/holiday/holiday-shipping-dates.htm)).

What to send instead:
- **A gift that travels by email:** a gift card, or a gift link where the recipient enters their own address, on a platform that ships to theirs ([gift links vs a box at the door](https://personalizedgiftsdelivered.com/compare/gift-link-vs-physical-gift-box)).
- **Something local:** a bakery, florist or shop near the recipient can deliver with your note.
- **A box you mail yourself:** order one of ours to your own address and mail it on. Check USPS's holiday dates for Alaska and Hawaii first, and know that our reship promises cover the trip to the address on your list, not the second trip.

## Can I Send a Gift Box to an APO or FPO Address?

No: we don't ship to APO/FPO (military) addresses.

USPS does, and at domestic prices: "You can ship care packages to military addresses at domestic prices, even if you're sending mail overseas" ([USPS military mail](https://www.usps.com/ship/apo-fpo-dpo.htm)). Three more lines from the same page are worth knowing before you pack one yourself:
- "You often need a customs form to ship overseas."
- "do not include city or country names in APO/FPO/DPO shipping addresses"
- For DPO addresses, "make sure the item doesn't exceed these maximum dimensions" (27 in long, 14 in wide and high).

USPS's 2026 recommended send-by dates for military mail before December 25:

Where our box does fit a military family:
- **The family at home**, at a stateside address we ship to.
- **A welcome-home box**, sent to a stateside address after the deployment ends.

## Can I Order From Outside the US for Someone Here?

Where you live doesn't change where a box can go. Every box ships to an address on your list, and each address must be in the area we ship to: the lower 48 states and Washington, DC, except Texas for now. When the boxes ship, the tracking email reaches you wherever you are. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay from outside the US, including with a card issued outside the US; we ship only to the areas above.

## What If an Address Is Wrong or a Box Arrives Broken?

If a box arrives broken, send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we'll reship it free. If a box goes astray because of an address on your list, we'll reship it to the corrected address for what the reship costs us, with no markup, and tell you the amount before we send it.

The cheapest fix is a clean list. ## What Does the Box Look Like When It Arrives?

Each box is packed by hand. The mug stands on a 2 in foam pad, held in a 1 in foam collar, with a 1 in foam pad on its rim, inside a matte-black gift box with a magnetic lid. That box rides in a plain white 9 × 9 × 9 in shipping carton with crinkle around it. The mugs we've seen break in shipping broke at the handle, and the rim is the other weak spot, which is why the mug is held still and its rim padded.

The carton carries only the shipping label. The label's return address shows PersonalizedGiftsDelivered.com, never your name; your name appears only on the card inside. A box at a client's front door doesn't announce who sent it until it's opened.

## What to know before you order

- **Outside our area.** We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Texas (for now), Puerto Rico, other US territories, APO/FPO or international addresses. The order page flags those rows, and the rest of your list ships as normal.
- **No set delivery day.** Delivery dates are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Our order-by dates allow for the slow end of the carrier's estimate.
- **Ground only.** Every box ships by ground, and there's no faster option to buy, so the order-by dates above are the ones to use.
