## What a Minimum Order Means When You Have 20 Clients

The minimum is the smallest run the seller will print, not the number you need. Three worked examples for 20 clients, at the prices above (our arithmetic, before shipping and tax):
- **Tumbler, minimum 10:** 20 fits. At 4imprint's price for 18 or more ($15.65) plus the $40 setup, that's $353, about $17.65 a tumbler.
- **Ceramic mug, minimum 72:** you buy 72 to give 20. 72 × $1.75 + $55 = $181; the 20 you give cost $9.05 each, and 52 mugs stay in a closet.
- **Pen, minimum 150:** you buy 150 to give 20. 150 × $0.99 + $20 = $168.50; 130 pens left over.

Then each one still needs a box, padding and postage. A USPS Ground Advantage parcel from 12 oz to 1 lb costs $10.05 to $13.65 at the counter, and up to 2 lb $11.30 to $19.80 ([USPS Notice 123](https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm), effective October 4, 2026). For fewer than 20 clients, the items with minimums of 6 to 18 come closest to avoiding a box of spares.

## What Does Sending Logo Gifts Yourself Take?

Yes: you can order logo items and mail them yourself, and by our estimate 25 logo mug gift boxes take about 9 hours of hands-on work, plus a week or more waiting for supplies:
- **Sourcing, about 2 hours:** a mug printer and a proof, then about 8 more orders (gift boxes, tissue, seal stickers, cards and envelopes, foam, cartons, crinkle, cocoa, truffles).
- **The list and the cards, about 2¼ hours:** clean up the addresses, buy 25 labels, write or print 25 cards.
- **Packing and shipping, about 4½ hours:** about 8 minutes a box, then the drop-off and 25 tracking numbers.

A small mistake costs more: a mug packed without a collar can break at the handle and must be bought, packed and shipped again; a typo on 25 printed cards means printing 25 again.

## Why Logo Gifts Have Minimums (and Which Don't)

Promotional printing usually starts with a setup charge for each order: 13 of the 14 items we priced at 4imprint carry one at their minimum. On 4imprint's 11 oz mug, the $55 setup adds about $0.76 a mug at 72 ($55 ÷ 72); the fewer mugs in a run, the more of the $55 each one carries.

Three kinds of seller skip the minimum:
- **Gifting platforms:** Snappy On Demand has no order minimum; the client claims the item they want, and it's printed then.
- **Print-on-demand** shops print one at a time: Printful's mug has "No minimum".

## Logo Placement: Small but Clear, on the Gift

The research and the etiquette agree on size, if not on everything else:

- **Every mug carries a print.** Your logo on a business order, or a photo or a few words on a personal one. The shipping carton is plain, and the label's return address shows PersonalizedGiftsDelivered.com, not you.
